July 2009 

Councillor Redmond

11. “That Athy Town Council makes it compulsory for new planning permissions for residential housing developments to contain traffic calming measures and signage and that these work to be completed prior to occupancy of the residential units.”

12. “That Athy Town Council calls upon Kildare County Council to widen and upgrade the road between Ardreigh Road and Castledermot Road to include the provision of a footpath.”

13.That Athy Town Council puts bicycle terminals in both Emily Square and Edmund Rice Square.”

 

September 2009:

 

24. Cllr Redmond 

             “That Athy Town Council calls on the HSE to reverse its decision to close a 26 bed ward at St Vincent’s Hospital, considering the affect that such a closure will have on patients and their families and, indeed the staff of the Hospital.”

 

 

OCTOBER 2009

 11.  “That Athy Town Council commences the process to draw down the bond for the new Coneyboro Estate so that all outstanding matters can be addressed.”

 

12. “That progress reports be furnished in relation to motions passed by the Council.”

 

13. “That the Town Council provide a sports grant or community grant for the Athy Rugby Club in the forthcoming Annual Budget.”

 

NOVEMBER 2009

11.     “That Kildare County Council be asked when work will commence on the footpath from the Carlow Road at the Coneyboro to the Ardreigh Road in Athy.”

 

12.     “That this Council initiate from the 1^ST of December 2009, until January the 1^st 2010, free parking throughout the town, as matter of urgency for the business community and shoppers.”
